This fabric is made from "Hon-ai" yarn dyed using the skein method, creating subtle vertical unevenness. It is double woven on a dobby loom to give it thickness and elasticity without adding weight. The yarn is dyed, woven, and finished without high heat during the drying process, resulting in a soft, fluffy texture. In pursuit of a lighter feel, this sashiko fabric is made by adjusting the number of weft threads compared to conventional fabrics. The front crown has a smooth curve for a sporty impression.
