Knox began in 1981 when the founder who still leads the business today, Geoff Travell, was a young British motorcycle racer and body armour just didn’t exist.

Today Knox is still a family-owned business, focusing on what the company does best: body armour, gloves and apparel. The headquarters and manufacturing facility are based in the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria, United Kingdom. Knox is specialised in the design and manufacturing of innovative body armour and apparel, mainly for motorcycling.
