Tailor Toyo Souvenir Jacket Roaring Tiger Flying Eagle

Tax included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

This reversible souvenir jacket draws on early 1950s Sukajan designs, combining traditional Japanese embroidery with the distinctive sheen and drape of acetate satin. The black side features an eagle spreading its wings above a pine branch, rendered in orange-brown embroidery with carefully worked feather gradations. Red ribbing with navy and white stripes completes the vintage-inspired colour scheme.

The reversible side features a stylised roaring tiger embroidered in lustrous yellow rayon against blue satin. A darker blue and black colour scheme across the underarms and body creates a distinctive contrast, while bold block-letter “JAPAN” lettering reinforces the jacket’s post-war souvenir aesthetic. Both sides are constructed from unpadded acetate, giving the jacket a fluid drape and making it suitable for year-round wear.
