Alongside ten-gallon hats and western boots, the western shirt is one of the cowboy items that developed and evolved uniquely within American culture. This denim shirt is based on vintage western shirts from the 1950s–60s. The denim fabric was developed from scratch—from spinning and dyeing—based on vintage analysis. While many western shirts made as stage costumes or for film feature flashy details like fringe and satin, working cowboys preferred durable fabrics like denim, chambray, and flannel. This shirt retains workwear characteristics with two-needle topstitching on the body and sleeves, but also features a fitted waist—a key difference from standard work shirts.

The western yoke, said to protect the shoulders in case of a fall from a horse, is a signature detail. Snap buttons are used throughout for easy removal if the shirt catches on tack or horns during work. The pearl buttons are made from real shell (ground from actual shells), resulting in natural variations in color and texture. Each cuff features three buttons.
