This wonderful cardigan takes inspiration from an original photograph of Marilyn Monroe taken in 1962 for Cosmopolitan magazine, translating the relaxed glamour of the image into a richly textured knit. An ethno-inspired jacquard pattern brings a subtle Southwestern influence to the cardigan, echoing the relaxed spirit of a warm layer thrown on against a cold breeze by the beach. 

Made entirely from exceptionally soft yak wool, the cardigan combines a natural beige ground with an intricate jacquard pattern in navy, brown and muted grey. The generous shawl collar, self-tie belt and patch pockets give it the easy character of a vintage robe cardigan. Warm, tactile and expressive, it works equally well as substantial knitwear or as a soft outer layer.
