Reproduction of a Type B-3 bomber jacket with horse leather applications. Aero Leather Clothing uses the correct B-3 weight heavy shearling sheepskin with extra strong horsehide sleeve and seam overlays for extra protection. There is a single map pocket on the right side and heavy leather straps with 3-way buckles. Aero Leather garments use the correct Japanese-made WW2 replica talon zippers on wide herringbone cotton straps, alloy buckles that are cast from the originals, and a woven label that is identical to the WW2 originals. Although the B-3 was discontinued by the USAAF on 23 May 1943, the Aero Leather 42-5110-P is still made to the same original specifications and standards as the WWII Army Air Corps clothing, many of which are still going strong after nearly 70 years of wear, and our current jacket should provide the same length of service.
