Water Rabbit Five Pocket Chinese New Year Jeans. Water Rabbit is a 13oz Japanese selvedge denim. It celebrates the Year of the Rabbit in the Chinese Zodiac. The denim is woven on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama, Japan using rope dyed short slub yarns. This gives the denim an uneven surface texture and colour tone. Over time, the indigo will chip away to create high contrast vertical fading. The selvedge ID features the traditional Chinese New Year colours of red and gold. And the 10oz vegetable tanned leather patch features a custom embossed artwork of an anthropomorphic rabbit bursting through water. Cut, sewn and made in Canada with contrast stitching, red pocket bags and silver metallic buttons and studs.
