Samurai’s latest sweatshirt is crafted from a substantial 14.5oz fleece, milled exclusively for this release from 30-count cotton yarns rope-dyed in natural indigo. The tight knit yields a rich tone and dry, grainy hand, while tiny air pockets within the yarn give the fabric a uniquely firm structure that will gradually soften and mold to the wearer. Ribbed cuffs and hem are made from the same indigo yarns for consistency, and the entire garment is overdyed with Kakishibu (persimmon tannin), layering a warm, earthy patina over the indigo base—a process that enhances fiber strength and develops character with age.
