In the 1950s a horsehide jacket was a practical garment, mainly worn by blue collar workers employed in transportation, freight-related industries and other hands on manual trades. Most of these workers were union members, affiliated to a Teamster Local so the name «Teamster» seemed ideal for this typical 1950s working man's button closing jacket which has been designed for the great outdoors with extra length for warmth and practicality.
